THE PROJECT JOURNEY FROM START TO FINISH
The construction industry works to the 8 stages of the RIBA Plan of Works, which is a complex, adaptable document that maps out the life of a project. To help you better understand your project, we can group the RIBA stages into four broad milestones:
Onboarding is the mechanism through which all parties align and develop the project brief. It is also when the initial construction budget is agreed upon. It is also when we start our fact finding process, to ensure that the project team has the information they need to be able to start design work.
Initial Design Work tests ideas, develops research, and applies for planning permission if it is required. It gives an opportunity to check at a high level that the project you want to build is achievable within your budget.
Final Design Work covers two different levels of information: Building Regulations information for approval, and Tender Information to finalise the target construction cost.
Construction is the point at which your project starts to take shape. Throughout the process, our design and construction team manage the actual construction costs in an open-book format to help control unforeseen issues and price fluctuations.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
"We can't wait to break ground on renovations #2 with the Scroxton team"
We are part way through our second project with Scroxton & Scroxton. The first experience was superb from a client engagement perspective and how well the design worked for our family home.
"They even had the Planning Officer enthused"
Having had a negative experience with a previous company, I have to say that from the first moment of contact with Scroxton’s – and since, after working with them for over a year – I have sung their praises to everyone I know!
"We couldn't be happier with the end result"
We are absolutely delighted with the quality of our home now that it has been remodelled and extended by Scroxton & Scroxton. The team understood our brief and designed a modern extension that complements the original property to create a stand-out dream home full of natural light that opens up to our wonderful garden.
"They succeeded in giving our house the wow factor and we just love it."
From our first meeting we knew we could get along with them, and although we had other quotes for the work, Scroxton‘s were going to be our choice.
We offer the complete RIBA Architect’s Service from concept to project handover. Our architects are ARB registered, and our construction team is SafeContractor accredited.
